I realize that Dead Rising 2:Off the Record is suppose to be a non-canon game. I personally felt it should have been the canon game and not Dead Rising 2. I also realize that the Road to Fortune comic series was meant to be a lead into Case Zero. I personally think that this first issue lines up pretty well with the Off the Record story. It explains pretty well Frank's situation and even gives an explanation for co-op Chuck's presence in the game. In short, it's cool.

The conclusion to the video game Dead Rising is revealed! Issue one starts out with Frank West on top of a tank and Isabela trapped on top of a car and they're both surrounded by zombies! Frank finds a machine gun inside the tank and they escape but not after Frank gets bit by one of the flesh-eating monsters. 2 years later, Frank has a T.V. Show called Uncovered that is a talk show hosting conspiracy people talking about their incidents. Frank also must inject himself with Zombrex to keep the virus at bay. As Frank's show is canceled, he's decided to head to Coyote Springs where a small outbreak has occurred and talk to a conspiracy reporter to cover this event and reveal the truth about what the military's really doing! Elsewhere, a man named Chuck Greene and his family are headed to Las Vegas for a competition. However, what awaits them is not something they're ever going to expect!

So, we finally get an explanation to the cliffhanger ending to Dead Rising. This comic takes place 2 years after the first game and right before the second. We see Frank went from covering wars to hosting second-rate talk shows and Chuck is a rising star in the motocross circuit. However, after hearing about the events in the game Dead Rising 2, I think we all know what we can expect from this series; and I'm liking it!
Good
Came in on average time and in good condition! No creases or anything. This is good if you would like to collect RTF in separate issues.
The art design is fantastic, there are little to no details left out on the pages. The story is also great and we finally see what happens to Frank on the tank.

This particular comic even introduces one more character to the Greene family that we've always wondered about.

While it's length is a little short, it makes up for it with rich storytelling.

All in all, it's a great comic. Buy it.
